I'm Shashi "Jack" Jadoenath, a Game Designer from The Netherlands.
Before I started game development, I was an application & media developer which I studied for at a vocational school. During this study, I picked up game development as a side project by studying Unreal, and through the process of learning I fell in love with it.
Currently, I am studying Game Design and Production at Breda University of Applied Sciences.
In this study, I have learned how to work with teams, game design fundamentals, playtesting, rapid prototyping through paper or in-engine, research & analysis. Using these skills I have put out "Shred Off" on Steam with my team as my first fully fledged game release.
I have also mentored lower-year students to help them with design, implementation and their studies.
I focus on player mechanics & combat systems due to my love for action games like "Devil May Cry", "Bloodborne" and the "Batman Arkham" series, and fighting games like "Tekken" & "King of Fighters".Â
Aside from playing many games, I also like to read books & graphic novels. Scenarios, feelings or emotions I find interesting, I incorporate into my designs, that I wish to evoke in the player.
